Executive Master in Business Administration (EMBA)
Business School IESE Business School
Period Sep 2010 - Apr 2012
Degree Executive Master in Business Administration
With the aim of acquiring new skills and continuing my professional and personal development, I decided to take an MBA.
At first I was hesitant about doing a full-time MBA or an Executive MBA combined with work.
Due to my intention of keep my carreer in marketing after the MBA, I decided to take an Executive MBA.
I opted for IESE because of its teaching method based on the case method, which involves not only mastery of the subject but also its practical use in real cases. I was also attracted by the assessment method, which is much more focused on competition between students, which pushes you to strive to give your best and not just to achieve a grade.
The EMBA has been a financial and personal effort because I had to combine it with work. In addition, during the master's degree I changed jobs to Mitsubishi Electric, which meant additional stress because I had to quickly adapt to the new company without reducing my academic performance at IESE.
However, I was able to complete both the work and the IESE with satisfactory results thanks to my effort and the support of my family and my team at IESE. I think that without the help of these people I would not have been able to obtain such good results. Once again, not wanting to disappoint the people I admire and esteem gave me additional motivation to give my best and achieve my goals.
At the beginning of the master's degree I knew that the competition would be very tough and that the level of my classmates would be high, so I set myself the goal of finishing it without any "C" and, if possible, getting at least an "A". At the end of the master's degree I obtained a total of 28% of subjects with an "A" grade, 40% with a "B+" grade and the remaining 32% with a "B".
During the EMBA I had to do several individual and group assignments. In the following links I collect the ones I keep:
